#### **Why a Sampling Machine is your fastest route to Major Sales**

If you’re in the business of manufacturing carpets, rugs, or yarn for soft floor coverings, there’s a hard truth you already know: no image, no render, no screen, no matter how good the camera or display, can truly replace the power of a physical sample.

Yet time and again, we see manufacturers hesitate to invest in carpet and yarn [sampling equipment](https://modra.com/sampling/). The cost, they say, is too high. But here’s the reality: You only need *one* client to say yes, and that [sampling machine](https://modra.com/sampling/)<https://modra.com/sampling/> pays for itself.

##### Consider the Maths

A professional carpet or yarn [sampling machine](https://modra.com/sampling/) can cost in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Sounds like a big investment.

Now compare that to landing a hotel group, even a mid-sized chain with 30 locations. If each hotel refits just 100 rooms, you’re talking about carpet for 3,000 rooms. At even a modest price per square metre, the revenue quickly exceeds the cost of the [sampling machine](https://modra.com/sampling/), many times over.

##### Why Physical Samples Seal the Deal

Physical samples don’t just show colour, they show truth. Here's why that matters:

- **Colour Accuracy**: Computer monitors vary wildly in calibration. A deep forest green on your screen might look like teal on your client’s device. That’s a dealbreaker when your business hinges on design precision.
- **Texture, Pile Height, and Feel**: No digital render can replicate the tactile confidence of running your hand over a finished sample.
- **Design Realisation**: Showcasing your production quality and colour capabilities in real samples communicates credibility, speed, and professionalism, all without saying a word.

They also drive sales across every channel, whether you’re selling to:

- **Wholesalers** who demand product accuracy and speed to market,
- **Hospitality groups** seeking unique designs for a fleet of rooms, or
- **Corporates** installing hundreds of square metres of custom flooring,

Samples close deals. And if you can deliver custom, high-quality samples faster than your competitors, you move to the front of the line. Giving you a competitive edge in a crowded market.

#### The Real Risk - Doing Nothing

Delaying your investment in a [sampling machine](https://modra.com/sampling/) means handing an opportunity to your competitors. In an industry where speed, customisation, and confidence close the sale, your sampling capacity is your growth engine.

And remember: You don't need 100 clients; you just need one

One large wholesaler.
One hospitality group.
One corporate rollout.

That’s all it takes to turn your sampling investment into profit and put your business on a new trajectory.
